"I'm constantly saying 'I can build that!'"

Before the course, I had no idea where to start! I didn't know the lingo, the tools, or have the skills. Since taking the course, I'm constantly saying "I can build that!" and feel confident that I really can! It's exactly what I needed. I was SO SCARED. But the videos were super straight forward and detailed. Watching those videos gave me the confidence to dive in. SO HELPFUL.

Sound familar?

You've been eyeing the same spot in your home for months...

After tons of searching, you finally found a gorgeous piece.

BUT it costs $2,800, the measurements are 2" too big, and it's made from cheap particle board that will fall apart sooner rather than later 🫠…

You scroll through Instagram and see women building some pretty awesome DIYs and think to yourself... "maybe I could just build it?"

Every time you figure out one thing, 5 more questions pop up.

You have no idea how to actually start and learning to build furniture feels overwhelming.

  • The thought of using power tools makes your hear race and your palms sweat

  • The lumber aisle is intimidating...what wood should I use?

  • You don't feel confident that you can measure and cut things properly -- what if nothing fits together??

  • And that little voice in the back of your head keeps saying, "what if it doesn't turn out? What if you mess up and you waste all that time and project supplies?"

And on top of all that, the little voice in the back of your headSummarize the experience of these problems - make it clear you understand the problem and the doubt they may have in a solution.

But then the reality sinks in. You have no idea where to actually start.

You don't actually know which tools to buy.

The thought of cluelessly standing in the lumber aisle at Lowe's makes your skin crawl.

And WHEN YOU THINK OF picking up a saw, your brain goes straight to "what if I chop my finger off??"

It's not that you're not cut out for DIY.

It's just that nobody has ever shown you how to start from the actual beginning.

Now Picture This. What if You Could...

  • Confidently build DIY furniture that looks so good that your friends ask where you bought it

  • Strut into Home Depot and confidently pick out the right wood for your next project

  • Unbox that miter saw that has been collecting dust in the corner of your garage, make your first cut and think, "That's it? That's all I've been afraid of? I can really do this!"

  • Open up a project plan and actually understand it. No panic Googling. No YouTube rabbit holes. No staring at step 3 for 15 minutes with a puzzled face and a tilted head.

  • When mistakes come (hey, they happen), feel confident that you'll know that you can fix it and still end up with an incredible project

  • Look at that $3,000 Pottery Barn table and say "I could build that"...and then actually build it for 90% less.

"I finally look at furniture I want and think 'I can do that!'"

This program helped me gain basic skills and more confidence when approaching DIY projects. I will never look at another piece of furniture the same again! I finally look at furniture I want and think “I can do that!” and I am SO GRATEFUL for that!

Nicole Evans, I Made That Student

Imagine building a piece of furniture you absolutely love, one that looks so good that people ask you where you bought it.

Check out these builds from our past students (these were some of their FIRST projects)

If they can overcome their fear of power tools and learn to confidently DIY, YOU can build furniture you're proud of too.

You just need the right foundation. You just need to learn the things that project plans assume you already know that will take your project from looking DIY to looking ah-mazing.

When I was getting started with DIY, all I wanted was someone to show me the way. To teach me the things that I didn't even know I needed to know.

And that's exactly why I created I Made That™.

From "I could never build that..." to "I MADE THAT"

Have any questions?

How is this different than buying printable project plans?

Printable plans are a great next step once you have the foundational skills, but they assume you already know more than you do if you're just starting out. I Made That™ is like building alongside me in the garage. I walk you through every single step, explain the why behind each technique, and share the tips and tricks that make the difference between a project that looks homemade and one that looks professional.

What if I don't have a workshop?

No problem at all! We completed projects on the floor of our garage for years. As long as you have a small space to set up your tools and assemble your furniture, you're good to go. A driveway or garage make for a great makeshift "workshop."

What if I don't have tools yet?

Perfect timing, actually! The very first section of the course covers exactly which tools you need, what to look for, and how to get them without overspending. You can get everything you need for less than $400 brand new, and even less if you buy secondhand from Facebook Marketplace, estate sales, or pawn shops. Tool rental is also an option.

How much do the projects cost to make?

The exact price and availability of materials vary based on where you live, but the supplies for all 5 projects should cost approximately $250-$400 total. Since you have lifetime access to the course, you can spread out the costs and complete the projects whenever you want.

Can't I find all this on Youtube or AI for free?

Probably, eventually. But you'd also need to know what to search, sort through videos from dozens of different people giving conflicting advice, hope you pick the right advice to follow, and piece it all together in the right order. The problem when we were starting out wasn't that the information didn't exist. It was that we didn't even know what we needed to know until something went wrong. I Made That™ gives you the right information, in the right order, right when you need it.

How long will I have access to the course?

Lifetime. Work through the course on your own timeline and come back to any lesson whenever you need a refresher. You can access everything on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Do I get to pick the 5 plans in the Keep Building Project Plan Bundle?

Yes! You'll be able choose any individual 5 plans from our shop, which has 80+ options. Whether you're dreaming of a dining table, a storage bench, or outdoor furniture, you'll build a project lineup that actually fits your home. There will be instructions in the course platform on how to redeem, so you don't need to decide right now!

What projects do we build in the course?

We'll build a slatted bench, nesting side tables, an entryway table, an accent cabinet, and a nightstand with two drawers. Each project was designed intentionally to teach you a new set of skills that build on the previous one.

What if I don't want to build one of the projects?

All the key skills are pulled out into dedicated lessons throughout the course, so you can still learn the technique even if you skip a particular project. That said, the building lessons are packed with general tips and tricks you won't want to miss either. And if you're on the fence, consider building it and selling it. One of our students sold her builds on Facebook Marketplace and made back her entire course investment!

I haven't started yet. Is this too advanced for me?

Yes!! I Made That™ starts from absolute zero: which tools to buy, how to use them safely, how to shop for wood, and how to build real furniture step-by-step. No experience required.

Will this help me follow project plans that I find online?

Yes. One of the biggest things I Made That gives you is the foundational knowledge that most plans assume you already have. Once you finish the course, you'll be able to pick up almost any project plan and actually understand it, without the panic Googling. You’ll also understand things like how to pick the right screw length, so you won’t feel lost or confused if a project plan leaves out a detail like that.

"I look at furniture in the store and think 'I could build that!'”

I loved this course! When I first started I couldn’t even use a drill and by the end I was confident in using all sorts of power tools. She has printed plans and videos so it’s accessible to every type of learner. My 16 yr old son even jumped in and made a set of tables for his room. This course was well thought out and easy to use with step by step instructions.

I am now confident to try and tackle home projects. I look at furniture in the store and think “I could build that!”
